April was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Special Education at The University of Tennessee and her master's degree in Behavior and Learning Disabilities at Georgia State University.
April taught special education and served as an administrator for special education for fourteen years prior to entering the legal field.
April began her legal career as a family law paralegal in 2017. She is a certified court reporter and enjoys learning and taking on challenges.
In April's free time, she enjoys tennis, pickleball, running, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols.
